Surf Worldcup in Podersdorf - the countdown is on ;)
The "Surf Worldcup Podersdorf" takes place for the 15th time and will host windsurfing, kite, tow-in and SUP action from the 27th April till 6th May 2012. Reigning worldchampion Steven van Broeckhoven from Belgium, 4 times freestyle worldchampion Gollito Estredo from El Yaque and many more will fight for the title at this year´s first PWA Freestyle event. The EFPT Tow-In European championship 2012 will take place from 27th till 30th April, starting at 20:30, a good start for an night full of action and party afterwards.

downhill wc in leogang - how they changed the course
It is widely known that the Speedster at Leogang Bike Park demands respect even of seasoned professionals. This year’s UCI World Cup Downhill course has been newly designed and reconstructed by the HU Cooperation with some precious advice from Swiss downhill champion Claudio Caluori (SUI) to optimize it for the races on the second weekend of June. Most of the work happened in the first 200 meters of the course. New berms, and a new step-up step-down await the riders this season. The middle speed section of the course, which allows the riders to reach velocities of up to 80 kilometers an hour, also features a number of long tables for some major airtime of up to 15 meters.
Additionally, rock gardens have been added to the course making it especially important for the riders to choose the right path in order to not be thrown off the course. Lastly, right before the finish line riders will get to launch themselves over the big final jump, turning it into a guaranteed audience favorit.

Just like every year the windsurf worldcup opening in Podersdorf is a spring highlight in the east of Austria - at lake Neusiedl, an hour away from the main capital Vienna.
On the first weekend over a 35,000 visitors came to see Jose Estredo doing a Ponch-into-Flaka and winning the tow-in contest on saturday and the first heats on sunday. From there the windsurfers are waiting for good wind to be able to compete at the PWA Windsurf Freestyle competion which goes on just until 4th of May.
On the 5th the Kiteboarding Freestyle Classics will commence and the lucky winner will be able to celebrate in the middle of thousands of enthusiastic party people on the upcoming weekend.

After the close of this winter’s three missions, the finals of the BURN SNOWPARK RALLY 2011 in cooperation with VÖLKL will now be held at Leogang (AUT) from April 07th to 10th 2011. This weekend will become a highlight not only for the six qualified snowboard and freeski crews: thanks to the big Winner Party on Saturday evening, April 9th, and a Public Bagjump Session on Sunday, April 10th, also all friends and fans of the BURN SNOWPARK RALLY will have the opportunity to spend some entertaining daysat the finals of this winter’s coolest online photo challenge.
